Ways of Achieving an Healthy Looking Skin
Your skin can easily show how old you are. The common feature for all old people is a wrinkled skin. Here are some tips which will help you in achieving a healthy looking skin.
Regular cleaning of your face is the first remedy. There is a lot of dust and other dirt particles that collect on your face as you pursue your daily activities. This dirt can clog your skin pores thus affecting the respiratory processes of the skin like waste elimination and air exchange. You should wash your face in the evening before you sleep, and ensure that the face is dried properly. Therefore, you should wash your face in the morning, before bed, when you sweat, and after heavy use of makeup. It is important to find detergents which are compatible with your skin whenever you intend to clean your face. For instance, dry skin requires a moisturized soap, whereas one that is oily, you should use soap that has little or no additives. For oily skins, hemp skin care can be used as a remedy. You shouldn’t overdo the face scrubbing whether your skin is oily or dry because it has adverse effects on the skin.
Another tip is to exfoliate your skin which is quite different from face scrubbing. Exfoliation involves the removal of dead cells from the skin surface to allow growth of new cells. With the new cells on your skin, you will have a younger and healthy look, which everyone will desire. Your skin will shed off these cells after like two weeks, but you can do it more regularly. You can visit a beauty spa to have your face scrubbed, or do it at home using micro scrubbers. You should exfoliate your dry skin only once in a week, and your oily skin at most three times in a week. You should be careful not to overdo it because it may cause irritation and some redness.
Finally, you should avoid bad habits such as smoking, which has negative effects to your skin as well. Your skin can develop wrinkles if you smoke a lot of cigarettes, though not in a direct way. The collagen in the face are the reason why the face is strong and elastic, but can be easily destroyed by the nicotine present in cigars. You also need to be cautious about sun rays and other agents that can physically harm your skin. While a lot of people like spending most of their time to bask on the sun during hot summers, they fail to reckon the dangers of that exposure to their skins. These UV rays are responsible for sunburns on the skin, which are as a result of destruction of skin cells. Since high intensities of UV rays is believed to cause skin cancer, no one wants to suffer from it when they can avoid the sun rays.
